Has anyone experienced electrical issues with their 2021 CX-5? Has anyone had to have their rear body control module and/or gateway module replaced?

 

Yes!!! I took delivery of my new 2021 in October last year and 30 days later, battery was drained and the dealer replaced these modules after consulting with Mazda HQ.

 

Same! Took delivery in Nov 2021, battery and gear shifter replaced Jan 2022. By June 2022 the rcbm and gm were replaced after consulting with Mazda tech engineers. Bought it 8 months ago, they’ve had it 2 of the 8 in service. 🤦🏻‍♀️

 

On the other hand my 21 GTR was manufactured in 4/21 and delivered to me in May 21. No issues so far other than warped front rotors (machined by dealer which has corrected it so far). Likely you were just "lucky" to have gotten one from a bad batch of parts. I suspect COVID has done a number on QC for many places.
