Judging from all your other posts in different threads, it's clear that you live in your own little closed world, and only what you think you know is law. discussion in this thread ends here for me, I have more sensible things to do.

Let me get this correct, unlike you others that really know stuff can see that I also really know things...at least having to do with what you can do for ECU and actually spending hours building new calibers fields compared to those that are *poser's who insult me and then say something like " I have more sensible things to do" rather give requested and supportive information to what they posted.

Personally had you taken the time to re-read carefully what I have been talking about on this thread perhaps if you really had something I was wrong inaccurate or not completely aware of , you might have "schooled" me on ?
I must really be a threat to some members like you on forums because this is all I have done with my life for over 40 years.....

Default Goin to try narrower tire.

It has a heavier steering for more feedback like bmw.

Tried increasing psi to 45 psi. Going to change to a narrower tire from 225/65r17 to 215/65r17.

The slightly shorter height should also slightly increase braking power and acceleration without much speedometer error.

Not the best advice. ^^^^^^^^ . You DO NOT INCREASE tire pressure to adjust turning feel of any vehicle.

In other words you do not correct what may be a mechanical issue with tire pressure not recommend by the auto manufacture which is in the drivers door jam.

If anyone thinks that there is a steering issue because it is electrically controlled (even if mechanically controlled) it is very important to seek out either a MAZDA dealer or a service shop and have the steering and suspicion inspected.

DO NOT INCREASE THE TIRE PRESSURE TO COMPENSATE FOR HEAVY STEERING

Welcome to Mazda Forum! I’m afraid that not only will increasing the tire pressure not work, neither will a narrower tire because the steering is electric, not hydraulic or mechanical. Your problem may have nothing to do with the OP’s issue. BTW, the OP hasn’t even been back to the forum in over two years, this is a zombie thread started in 2020. We know you are new here, but usually it is best to start a new thread than it is to revive a dead one.

Default Tires and steering feel

In my 2018 na cx-5 I felt the steering was becoming too stiff. It had always been stiffer than what I was used to but I didn't mind. When I replaced my tires with the exact same type of tire and the steering became noticably lighter. So I'd wager that both the type of tire and the condition of those tires both make a difference. (I run BF advantage T/A sport)

Were you ever able to loosen the steering wheel? Did you find ECU map computer to adjust this OR OBDII Chip to adjust this?
(I just purchased a used 2021 CX5 and I have the same problem - the steering wheel is pretty tight, and I have sensitive wrists and arms and just after one day of driving, I notice my arms are sore. I'd like to try to adjust the steering wheel to be looser, as everything else about the car is nice)
