Default 2021 Cx 5 Carbon Edition AWD Turbo brakes squeaking!

My Brand new Cx 5 has 4,500 miles on it now.
About 600 miles ago, I noticed squeaking coming from my
right side brakes.
Have a service appointment set up for Thursday.

Anyone else having similar issues??

If so, what was your resolution?

I did research and it does not seem to be a case where brakes “need to broken in”.
Brakes are broken in now for sure.

Mine squeak at times, but not every time I brake. Seems to happen more when I am leaving the house in the driveway than after I am underway. I have 2k on mine. My '19 did the same thing for the 20k miles I had it.

In a perfect world yes. But a lot of variables - type of brake pads, etc. Not sure if they use ceramic, or semi metallic on the CX-5. If not ceramic, you could try switching. Also gives the benefit of less visible brake dust.

Brakes usually squeak due to vibrations between the pad backing plate and the caliper housing. When I change pads I always use a special coating between them (see below, I’ve used that product for over fifteen years) - no squeaking. Some folks use silicone grease between the pad backing and the caliper. Since the OP has factory brakes they should not squeak!

Not under warranty? Unless you wear them out they most certainly are under warranty. Grinding or warping should be covered. I would try another dealer if possible.

Default CX-5 Front brakes squeak with low mileage

Hello All,
We just picked up a low mileage CX-5 (13,000) and the front brakes squeak. The pads have plenty of wear but based on this thread this is "common". I located a YouTube video where a guy replaced pads that still had a fair amount of life due to squeaking and even brand new rotors and pads it still made noise. He ended up needing to adjust the retainer clips as they were slightly rubbing the rotors. The clips on Mazda's do not appear to have tabs to set the retainers in place so manual placement is necessary it appears. Hopefully the retainers dont' move otherwise it is going to eventually make noise again. This only seems to pertain to the front brakes. Video (
)

If anyone has any other insight then please pass on to me!
Thanks,
