2020 cx-5 shifting noise
Some say this is a myth, but in over 55 years of being an avid audiophile I have found that woman are more sensitive to high frequency sounds. I never buy speakers or other equipment without an audition of it from a woman . They always seam have an objection to the price of better high end equipment ,but always know what sounds best /less shrill and annoying in the high frequency range . I have to listen for a longer period to tell if it is hinky and fatiguing ,buy woman can pick it up almost instantly. Women are Gods greatest gift to man in so many ways ,even though they can also be hell if you get on their wrong side.
Purchased a 2020 CX-5 Gran Tourg CPOwned with 43k miles. 2.5L non turbo. Within 30 days and say 1500 mi. it began chirping first randomly then consistently when shifting from 3rd to 4th (only) at about 30-35 mph (I drive softly). I would call it a chirp or a tweak sound. I took it to the dealer and they replaced tranny no questions asked. They estimated max 6 weeks. They finished in 4. They gave me loaner entire time and even let me take it on a preplanned 2 week vac out of state. great service from this dealer. I saw their invoice back to corporate. It was $5k. Zero to me.

But without hopefully not going into another great debate with you ......
Not the way to build or upgrade a personal stereo system in vehicle or even a house. For so many reason I wouldn't know or want to post why!
However a real Audiophile would never make that statement about how to build and or upgrade a sound system.

I do understand Mazda think they are lifetime transmission but that does not mean much once your warrty is up and the transmission starts to have problems that you could have seen coming or prevented with a simple pan service.
Somehow coming from you I believe it....LOL

Sigh...the only time my home studio instruments, and all my audio equipment gets a real workout is when my wife is out.
Otherwise, it cannot exceed level "3" on the volume.
And of course, mine all go to "11"

I am wondering about the db that keeps getting tossed around to support information? I have posted about it myself but then I also own at least 2 handheld db testers as well there is one in my oscilloscope . And we used one once in Auto stereo shop mainly to measure the loudest possible sounds for customers gearing up for a loudest stereo contest event lol.
I just for sheets and gigles did a quick test.
In my living room I turned my stereo up to 85db. The living room is 21ft x 18 feet. Measuring 85 db 3 feet from the speaker the bd diminishes by 7.5 db for every 8feet down to 50.3db at 30ft and up to 45ft going into my kitchen which is open to the Livingroom. So lets think about that for second. LOL
Yes 85db is loud and going to higher level like 95+ will cause you to have reduced hearing eventually then perhaps some females that do not listen to very loud music frequently.
