GFR posted no knowledge just a personal complaint plus this: WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAZDA IS MY RESPONSE - YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER.
Yes and what is really funny is our friend who is on at least one other forum forgets how often new members that join there and start off posting in the anti Mazda responses gets a warning from a moderator and then if continued one time gets a banned.
Here we just can laugh about new members doing these negative responses ... for a little while! They tend to go away on their own when they realize no other member put up with reading phrases like the one posted.

Default Mazda CX5 rear brakes

I have a late 2020 Mazda with 11000 miles on the clock. I have major issues with the rear brakes. The pads are wearing unevenly, which apparently is caused by the calipers being out of line, and giving a metal-to-metal sound. The dealer from whom I bought my car has agreed to replace everything that needs replacing . Mazda is fully aware of this issue

Here once again a good example. A new member and they complain about their Mazda?

Maybe a bad batch of parts? No issues with my 19 or 21 as far as rear brakes (20k on the 19 and 17k on the 21).

There is no such thing as "bad batch of parts" in a system like the complete rear brake assembly if you know and understand how a modern vehicle is manufactured?
I have missed your generally lame responses lately! LOL

I have a 2020 and have no brake issues, other than they aren't up to my personal expectations, but I normally upgrade to performance brakes and will be doing so with my CX-5.
I have 32K (miles) and just had a service done. The pads checked at about 1/2 wear and will be fine until next oil change.
Without loose bolts or physical damage (accident or intentional) to a caliper how can they "get out of line"?
And if they did, how would most experienced drivers not noticing it immediately and attend to it.

===============
I took my cx5 2021.5 signature model to my mazda dealer in Milton, Ontario for a standard oil change. I have 16,000km on my car. The service guy came out and told me Mazda recommends brake service, without removing calipers every year, to grease the caliper pins only. Cost $340 cdn. I said no thank you, as i have no brake issues. I wonder at these prices, how much they charge for full brake job? Crazy prices.

did you look at your Mazda service schedule that was given to you when you bought your new Mazda? While I don't personally consider pins as a yearly point of service and as an independent service shop would not suggest the service unless I saw it was necessary it may bite you in the **** if you have a brake problem that you want covered by the basic Mazda warranty coverage?
Sorry I am not at work and can not look at what the actual required scheduling is for your Mazda model and year?

Really? No such thing as a bad batch? You crack me up. How about the cylinder head issues on the 2.5NA? Those were a bad batch....
