2019 Mazda CX-5 Touring AWD thread - xAgyex
Current mileage: 80,644
Recently replaced the rear brake pads. I had them sitting in a box for months. Super easy job, just had to find the time. Rear was making noise so figured why not.
Additionally, replaced tires...moved to 225/65R17 Michelin CrossClimate2

DIY Rear Brake Pad Replacement:
1. Loosen lug nuts (DO NOT REMOVE)
2. Jack/lift from the jack/lift points
3. Remove tire

4. Loosen caliper bolts (14 mm)
5. Remove bottom caliper bolt only
6. Remove ABS clip
7. Pull up caliper slowly from the bottom

8. Remove old brake pads
9. Clean or replace shims/clips
10. Push back caliper piston

10. Add grease (very little) to tips of new brake pads
11. Insert new brake pads into caliper

12. Install in reverse: caliper, ABS clip, tire, etc.

This was a cool milestone to catch...79997 miles on this car.

Nice write up on the rear. But you forgot to mention placing the rear electric parking brake in service mode. I am surprised you did not have a problem when you finished by not doming that unless you did.
