2019 CX5 - Plastic Rivets For Oil Pan Protector Panel
I just did an oil change on my 2019 CX5. The oil pan protector panel is kept in place by 2 screws and 2 plastic rivets. One of my rivets is missing and it has slightly annoyed me whenever I do an oil change. . (I didn't lose it. The dealer did during the free oil change period.) When I had my car on my ramps today, and I had the panel off. I almost decided to drive my wife's car to an auto parts place with the one rivet and get another one. But I was already messy from sliding around under the car and draining the oil. So I didn't go.
Does anyone know the size of the plastic rivets, either OEM or aftermarket so I can pick up a couple?
I may end up biting the bullet and drive my car on my ramps, take out the one and go to an auto parts place with it.
These break often and are also lost. I would go to amazon and purchase a kit that has a variety of them it is a better saving because there are dozens of these type of fasteners on your Mazda.

I'm lucky, we have a local Ace Hardware Franchise that is owned by a local family who has been in the hardware business for nearly 150 years.
They are still your old-fashioned hardware store and have all kinds and sizes of automotive/boat/motorcycle plastic push fittings in stock at prices cheaper than I can buy online.
I can get most automotive, motorcycle, boat and home bolts, screws, fasteners, plugs, O-rings, etc. that I would need.
The local Lowes and Home Depot don't even come close in that line of stock.

This is exactly what I did when having to take them out on my previous cars. They always get fragile and break, but having a box of hundreds for dirt cheap was a lifesaver.

YUP! Also notice I use plastic tools NOT screwdrivers which tend to KILL plastic fastener. LOL
