Default 2017 Mazda CX-5

hey guys, I just left a Mazda Dealer. What kind of deals would you try to get if you were buying a Grand Touring CX-5.

In my case, they went way high on the interest rate for the part I was going to be financing even with a 10+ grand down payment.
And my credit rating is excellent, they found that out themselves.

It just put me off that dealer and now I will shop around.

By the way I love those CX-5s. I signed up here back in Jan in hopes of having one soon after. I am coming off of 15 years on another car forum for the IS300.

I don't think there's a lot of deals as the cars are still arriving slowly. I got 1.9% financing, $500 off for owning another Mazda, and $1500 off because I was waiting for FWD and agreed to take AWD.Nothing else worked, but it was one of first group the dealer got in.

I bought my '17 CX-5 Grand Touring two weeks ago and just like you, I have excellent (over 800) credit score and was putting down over $16K and they were immediately saying "Congratulations on your 2.something interest rate!!" I immediately informed them that it better be better than that and was pretty quickly told it would be 1.9%. I think they try to "feel" you out to see if you know how great your credit is and try to upsell you on a higher interest rate. My last 2 cars were luxury brands and I could tell a stark difference in the entire sale from beginning to end, compared to my last 2 car purchases. I feel like I was treated like an uninformed and unintelligent shopper that just dropped off the turnip truck.

We just bought our first Mazda and it is a 2017 CX-5 GT Premium Package. From what I have found in the area (Mpls/St Paul) most are holding close (within $1,000 of the MSRP) on the 2017 CX-5. Interest rates are 1.9% from Mazda out to 60 months and most banks around here are around 3.24% on 72 months. Good credit of course.

I picked up my Grey 2017 CX-5 Grand Touring today. Spent 28995 with 1.9 for the part that I financed. Great car. Me and my 7 year old love it. I was pleasantly surprised by a feature or 2. Such as the lane departure warning (with a slight tug on the wheel to bring you back into the lane). The dealers here in Los Angeles are only saying "we'll beat any quoted price". I went in with my mind set after 3 trips to 2 other dealers. I figured on Memorial Day Weekend, it was a good time to pull the trigger and buy.

Default 2017 CX5 start/stop feature

Does anyone know - are you able to turn off the start/stop feature completely on the new CX-5?

As in the Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) with Stop and Go? It is controlled by the Distance Recognition Support System (DRSS) and can be turned off via the Settings section on the main display screen.

AFAIK it does not have start/stop. At least no one showed that feature to us on any of the new mazda cars.

Did OP get a CX-5 yet?

Shop for your financing first. Then, haggle with the dealer re: purchase price. Do NOT disclose how you will pay for the vehicle without nailing down a price first.
