I need to replace my current vehicle and landed on a 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring edition. The dealership will perform a 150 point inspection prior to my purchase and I will take it to a reputable local repair grage that specializes in imports. Prior to purchase I'ld like to do a thorough personal inspection (I hae a diagnostic reader) without being able to put it on a lift. I was wondering if there was a checklist or anyone had any tips specifically for this year, make and model. I'm aware of the "ghosting" issue, and understand that they are hard on brakes.

The history of the vehicle is as follows:
It has around 62k miles with two previous owners. The first was a lease and the vehicle has CPO, the second was personal use. There are two reported accidents (I checked them out and know that one is a lowspeed fender bender, and suspcet the second is as well). It was owned in CT and Brooklyn, NY. The dealership I'm buying from is anoationwide retailer that does 150 point inspections and provides a free vehicle history report. I've checked and there are no additional safety recalls and it looks like all the maintenance has been routine.

Just keep an eye for oil leaks, but it sounds like you've touched all the bases!
