I bought the OEM Mazda back-up camera off of ebay. I was told by the dealer that has long as I have the upgraded radio that I can add the back-up camera.
Just took it back to my dealer's service center and they are saying they gotta call Mazda because the wiring in the door might not be there since the CX-5 sport does not come with or offer a back up camera. I see the metal knock-out plate by the rear hatch latch….camera system came with cables…. should I be worried ? Was I mislead that this can be done.

I have the touch screen radio just like in the touring. Confused.

 

Just wait to hear back from your dealer. Otherwise remove the inner tailgate trim & see for yourself if the wiring exists.
