Unhappy 2013 Firmware Update

Hello everyone

I just got myself a used CX-5, 2013 model, and have been noticing the infotainment system is a bit slow to respond and bluetooth connectivity more than a bit unreliable. Looking around online I found instructions on how to update all the newer models, but not the one from 2013. I have put all the necessary files on a USB-stick, but seem to be unable to find a way to start the update process. Any advice would be appreciated.

There never was an update for the early models. There were, however, problems with the blutooth module, so you might want to have that checked out.

Thanks, paris1, for the answer. I guess I'll have to accept a less than perfect infotainment system, it was more of an added bonus anyway.

There was a update via a SD card available for the early CX-5s running tomtom sat nav.
At least there was in my market.

USA: Insert SD card into PC and run the TomTom Home software to upload the latest firmware on the SD card, which will automatically be installed when inserted back into car. Can also upload POI (point of interest) files like chain stores and red light camera alerts. Can also add some (poor) voices, some new graphics and other minor stuff.

Note that if you unit automatically closes the warning splash screen after 15 seconds, the newer firmware will now force you to take your eyes dangerously off the road to click "OK".
