Default Wheel Traction Devices

I have to make a quick trip from Arizona to Alberta. The CX30 has all season tires. Idaho & Montana requires snowtires or possession of traction devices. AutoSock meets the states' standard. On my Mazda would I need to have all 4 wheels covered or just the 2 drive wheels? If 2 are sufficient, on which wheels?
Regards
