Replace left rear power window switch
Just noticed that the 'paddle' on the left rear window switch is just sitting there, no longer connected to the switch. It looks like the part is about $65.00 retail, and the dealer wants $230.00 in labor to replace! Not happening. I bought the car used in June and it is still under warranty, but the dealer says there is a chance it will not be covered, which makes sense because the problem is likely caused by the previous owner and not a manufacturing defect.
My question is: are there any gotcha's in replacing the switch myself. I have done plenty of work before on all my cars, but mainly mechanical. I must admit that, even though I have a few door panel tools, I have always HATED taking them off without first knowing where all the screws, bolts and push connectors are.
If anyone has done this before, please let me know what i am in for. And if there are any videos or diagrams or service manuals I can access, those would really put my mind at ease.
Thanks
