Any CX-30 customers who would share their experience?
I know there are very few people in the forum due to the current crisis and I wanted to say I hope you and your families are well.
Our lease was coming up on our '17 CX-5 so we traded for a CX-30. We absolutely love it. The infotainment system is light years ahead of our CX-5. It handles much better due to the lower center of gravity. The interior feels even more premium than the CX-5 and the seats are more comfortable. The bolsters hold you in and it feels like you are sitting "in" the seats rather than "on" them. We were very happy with the Bose system in the CX-5 but the system in the CX-30 has more clarity. IMHO it feels like more car for less money. Mazda has hit it out of the park with its latest designs.
Of course there is less room but we don't really need it. Also, I still think the CX-5 is one of the nicest looking SUVs on the road. We went for it and got the Soul Red Crystal and it continually amazes us. I did something I haven't done in years and waxed it myself today.
It was very weird going into the dealership. They only had 2 salesman there working by appointment only. They completely wiped down the car and keys with sanitizer prior to delivery. I wasn't looking forward to trading cars but the CX-30 has been the one bright spot in this whole situation. Thumbs up from me!

Congratulations on your new Mazda. These are stressful times. A new Mazda may be just the thing to brighten your day (or a bunch of days over the next month) I plan to wash my Mazda a few extra times as I am stuck in the house.

You won't regret it. We have been going on drives just to admire the interior and enjoy the Bose system to try to de-stress. My daily driver is an Audi A4 so the fact that this interior continues to impress me says a lot for how premium Mazda has become. If they ever introduce a new Mazda 6 I may trade in my Audi. You stay safe as well!
I hear "Perfection in a small SUV."I'll definitely take a test drive...
The CX-30 is definitely on my short list as I shop for a new car. We currently have a V6 RAV4 but over the years the RAV4 design has bulked up to the point it no longer fits for us (retired couple with three golden retrievers). We looked at the CX-5 and the VW Tiguan, but those are also large. As I age it's becoming more difficult to lift our 14' kayaks onto the roof racks of tall vehicles. We'd really prefer something smaller.
So right now it looks like we will either get a CX-30 Select AWD or a VW Golf Alltrack. The VW is the perfect height and I like the uncomplicated dash as well as the 6 year 75,000 mile warranty. I don't like the halogen headlights on the VW, nor the fact that 2019 was the last year it was sold in the US. Both drive very well and both have plenty of cargo space for our needs. The Mazda has much better lighting, though the abrupt cutoff of the low beams is a problem in rural Vermont; it would be nice to see deer fifty yards further out. I'll see if they can be adjusted up just a tad. I wish Mazda offered solid paint colors like VW instead of metallic since we have only one paved road in our village and rock chips are a fact of life. It sure would make touch up easier. Interior comfort and quality is the same, the driving experience is the same Mazda has the advantage of being a new (vs discontinued) model so the resale value will be better.
Tough call!

whirlwind weekend. Saying goodbye to my 2005 odyssey w 215k as kids head to college/goodbye carpool.shopped small suv segment pretty extensively for months But missed Mazda? Choose a Forester limited in Sepia arriving tomorrow after waiting 4 weeks. My moms Camry lease ends in 3 mos she wanted to check out crosstrek and Kona so I took her around.Kona left bad taste so wandered over to Mazda. She took The car-30 for a test drive and all I could think was wow-I love this!! 2 days of nonstop reading and researching and another long test drive w spouse and I’m sold. Coming from odyssey -auto liftgate is necessity. Responsive and sporty and trimmed out well above competitors in price range. So much fun to drive!!
Negotiated from home,Decided on the premium and signing tomorrow. So excited but need to decide on color. blue - I can drive home 😎or red more waiting and none within 100 miles☹️I’m loving the red but Worried its not my style I’m coming from a silver odyssey after all 😎
Also extended warranty? due to electronics and 3yr/36 I’m considering the Mazda’s ( not 3rd party)Called another dealer who said $2k for the 9year/100k but because it’s so new I’m having trouble finding others pricing. Hoping to do all from home and just go in and sign to minimize time in finance and near anyone.
Thanks for any feedback and sorry for the long message- very excited.

Oh, yes. If someone in the front seat is, say, 5' 9" or taller, there is no floor space to speak of in the back seats. Passengers can get by with sliding their feet under the front seat, but don't even think of putting groceries or hiking boots on the back floor. The only usable space back there is the seats. I have a dog, so there goes half the back seat right there if there are two passengers in the front.
Then the cargo space in the back is also limited. Not as bad as the CX-3, but still I can easily get 4 suitcases in the back of the CX-5. The CX-30 will take 2 and change. It just means that this is essentially a two-person-and-luggage car. Four passengers may fit in the vehicle, but they will have to leave luggage behind.
