Default WEBER 34/34 vs 32/36

Hey guys, I just ordered a 34/34 weber carb for my '87 B2600 4x4 automatic and I'm really wondering why noone uses these. Weberdirect says that this carb increases drivability and low rpm response. The 32/36 increases gas mileage. I picked the 34/34 because my truck is running like crap. Can anyone tell me why noone uses the 34/34? Is it a flawed product or something? I'd really like to know because I just spent $250 on this thing.

Thanks in advance.

On "another" B2200 board most who have gone the Weber route (myself included) have used the 32/36 DGEV Weber kit K-675 from Redline Weber. Some have posted about the 34/34 having the throttle connection on the wrong side, if I remember correctly. These Redline Weber kits use European-made Webers; I read somewhere where it stated that the carbs your source uses are made elsewhere.

According to multiple jeep forums and even confirmed by weber north armerica when I called them up, the 34/34 isnt even actually a weber at all. Weber bought out a company called Solex and now rebadges their carbs. Alot of people have had problems with this carb and the installation is almost always a pain in the ***. Every forum I found that mentioned it had nothing but bad things to say. Ontop of that, never buy from webercarbsdirect, worst customer service ever. Just a bunch on a-holes on longisland. Unorganized and always too busy to give the information needed. The secretary is a royal bitch too.

I'd be more then happy to sell you my takeoff parts. I'm not really sure what you mean about trading you weber for my parts. Do you have a weber right now? are there problems with it or something? Whats up?

Default My poor B2600

Tristan
I bought this truck so that later, like in 6 months, I am will be installing a Diesel engine.

The problem is I need to register the truck and here in Salt Lake City I need to pass a visual inspection as well as a functional tail pipe test.

The truck has a 32/36 Weber on the truck and most of the emissions equipment has been taken off or mutilated. After talking with the county referee station and they said that the weber may pass the tail pipe test but the air injection system needs to function to pass. The pipe at the exhaust manifold has two air valves that were cut off and the ends were sealed off by bending one and pinching it and the other is welded shut.

So the thing I would like to do is if you dont mind I would like to get your carb and all of the emissions equipment you are taking off and I will send you my Weber. But is you are already getting a new Weber I would like to buy all of your old take off parts so that I can get mine smoged. Since you have the same truck I do and I cant seem to be able to find any of these trucks in the junk yards you are my last chance.
