Thank you for your reply nhtrib. How and where can I purchase this ECM ? I removed the one the truck has in it. I notices on some sites that there is a big difference in price from used ones to newer ones. Should I buy a used one ? I am planning to keep my truck so I want to make sure I choose wisely. Also I want original Mazda (ford) parts. Please let me know the best place to order them . Thanks again.

Send it to AVPRO. They will rebuild YOUR unit and give you a lifetime warranty. That's what I did.

 

Yes it was. But it kept giving different readings every time I had it checked. First it would say low or bad battery which I replaced with a new one. Also would say something about emission problem. Now it says just ..0.. or that nothing was wrong. ??? So that is why the advice about replacing the ECM would be a good idea.
