Anyone here try and relocate the Tailgate Handle without a kit.....im thinkin for cuttin my handle assembly off the tailgate and welding it inside and then body work the outside so u dont see it.....that sound good

cut existing handle off front and fit it behind and re-link it.....any ideas or pics would be great thx

 

I relocated mines but with a kit, but someone with welding and cutting skills could do it with a piece of metal, I will post a pic of mines tonigth for your convenience...

 

thx alot....i have body work experiance and i can weld just fine.....i just need a few pics to see how i should attack it...

Site is up now. From the pics it looks like you simply cut a whole on the other side of the handle and hook it up.
