swapping b2200 into a b2000, need help.
okay, so im swapping a 92 b2200 engine into a 1986 b2000. keeping the old tranny in the 86. my questions and concerns are..
A) will motor bolt to tranny?
B)i took clutch plate off new motor to see if i should swap and like a knuckle head... i have no clutch alignment tool, any tips or tricks in how to put the same one back on? doing this swap on a complete budget of 0$ dollars.. i know, i have high hopes.
and finally c) the 86 has the ignition torn out with just wires hanging there, can i switch the 92 over to the 86? and will all the gauges and things alike still work?
if there are any other things you, tips, tricks or secrets you think would be helpful by all mewans throw them at me. im open to all the help i can get and any of it is very much appreciated, thanks fellas.
cheers.

Yes.
Alignment tool is simply to hold the disc centered while you tighten the pressure plate bolts. For old VWs, I've used a dowel or cut-down wooden handle to fit into the engine bearing with duct tape to build up the circumference where the disc itself will ride. Maybe a parts store has a loaner kit; I've heard of folks doing similar with sockets, etc. Once the engine is installed and the clutch pedal pushed down the first time, the disc will align itself perfectly.
I'd say yes, but this will be the trickiest part. Will you be staying with the same carburetion?
