Need engine -- what works? 96 b3000
I killed the engine in my 1996 b3000 (v6) by driving through a puddle too fast (water in the intake created hydrolock and broke a piston connecting pin, scarred cylinder)...
So I need an engine. Wrecking yards want $700-$900 for engines with 75-90,000 ... just trying to broaden my scope. What engines will work in this truck...anyone know? I assume a ford v6 from the same year will work, but is there a range of years that will bolt right up? Any info is appreciated! Thanks.
