Mazda BT 50 & Pickup TrucksWhile Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50
So, I am once more back with my B2200. After some hiccups with wiring in the radio, I got everything in. I tested my wires one last time, before turning on the radio. I have noticed that the constant power wire has zero power going to it, wether the truck is off, in acc mode, or is fully turned on. The oppisite can be said for the acc wire, aka the red/black wire. Which has 11volts, while the truck is off and while the truck is on, it has 13v. From what I know, the accesory wire, should be wired into the tail light fuse, which it is. The lights were off at the time. Fuse was good, wiring was semi decent. It was powering everything when I had tested that. Am I missing something? Should I find another constant wire that I should hook up? Since the alpine that I am using is not powering on. Every fuse is good far as I can tell.
I do recall when I had benched tested it, I had to use all three wires which included the blue/white wire which is the turn on lead. If my memory serves me correctly that is for an amp. I could be mistaken though, if I had to wire in this wire. Where would I wire it to?
Read what Cusser posted again........"The yellow always-powered wire to the stereo" .........He is talking about the yellow wire that came on your Alpine stereo.

Yes, and the Alpine stereo typically has a RED wire for switched power. These two wires typically contain an in-line fuse.
Ah, my mistake then. I've never used fuse taps before nor wired them in at all. How would I got about wiring in the style that cusser has posted?.
Fuse tap:
The left side of the fuse tap shown goes into the "protected" side of the fuse location, with the fuse spade inserted into it to hold it in place. Your wire with a standard 1/4" female connector slides on the tab on the right side.
These are so folks don't cut wires and then try to use crimp-style butt connectors.
