Okay I had the truck running great then the fuel pump went out replaced it and it ran fine for about 2 weeks and not it wont even start. The truck doesnt have a fuel pump relay but it does have a fuel pump control unit and i havent been able to find one
Can any one help?


I guess it may help if i say its an automatic trassmision and carb

 

On my 90 truck the fuel control unit is attached directly under the dash.

You can get a new one for ~$100 from:

CONTROL UNIT,FUEL PUMP for Mazda B2200 (FEW113354)

I jumped mine from the B & D terminals and was able to start & run. But it's not running great all the time. There may be something else wrong but I'm wondering if jumping B & D can only be used as a test. Please help!

 

These trucks have a track record of rust in the fuel tank, which then clogs the fuel filter.

 

thanks everyone and yeah i found the same part then looked around and found another one for about $20 cheaper but im just trying to make sure thats the only problem and yeah when i first got the truck the tank was rusted and took it somewhere and they said it wasnt real bad so they cleaned it out some other than that now i have to change the fuel filter because it has gummed up in the filter but all the lines are clean
