Hard Shifting
So as of recent, my B series, has been sitting for the better part of a month. However yesterday afternoon. I had fired it up, to go cruise in it.
Well, popping it into a reverse was difficult. To the point considering grabbing a rubber mallet to smack it into gear. Earlier in the day, I was underneath the steering column. Tidying up some wiring and replacing the throttle cable. I had a clear sight line to the firewall. I saw no weeping from the master cylinder. There was no puddle from the slave. Both are within a 1 year old, so there should be no failure.
Should I drop the tranny and inspect the throwout bearing and clutch? Im thinking as of right now pulling the inspection plug and checking the fluid.
I have owned the truck for 2 years and unsure when the clutch was last changed. Same for the gear oil.
Truck has 160,000 miles on her.

This will happen when the truck sits for an extended amount of time........especially in a humid environment like Florida where I am. Ask me how I know!
Usually it is the slave cylinder that starts to rust inside it's bore, and creates a stiff pedal feel. Working the pedal a bit at a time helps scrub the surface rust off of the bore and it eventually will act like normal. Use it some and see how it goes.
