My 93 b2600i gets 19 - 20 mpg. I bought it from the original owner 3 years ago with 64000 miles. It now has 96000 miles. No matter how I drive the absolute best is 22 and the worst it 19. I only get 22 if it is all highway driving.
Does anyone know if this truck should get better that 20mpg. Everything is original. Thanks for your help.

 

I'm sure you could get more with a good rebuild but they only got about 22-24 mpg at best brand new. When was the last time it had a full tune up including fuel filter and O2 sensor?

 

I have never changed the 02 sensor and am real sure the original owner never did either.
All the other tune up stuff has been done within 10,000 miles ago.
it runs great. I just thought the gas mileage should be better than it is.
I will change the 02 sensor and see if that helps

My truck gets 25mpg. That's driving me to and from work, 7 miles at about 55mph, with 2 traffic lights. My 4x4 was rated for 20mpg highway on MSN CarPoint website...I believe.
