clutch or trans

Default clutch or trans

yesterday on my way home i lost all drive gears and revers as well is it the clutch or trans both ? could it be the rear gears or what im not sure what to take apart first????? thanks devin

not much info given=not much help.

yr/model/engine/manual/auto trans????

most have an inspection cover to check the clutch disk.

If the clutch is bad you should still be able to shift when the truck is not running. If it is jammed in gear then the shifting forks are probably jammed up inside. It would require the tranny be removed and the tail housing taken off to get to the mechanism.
