FYI...The 4.3L V6 has the same bell-housing pattern as the 5.7L (350) V8, so an engine swap for that should go similar to that of the small block conversion, but with a little extra room at the front of the engine.

ive got my 4.3 on the stand right now....shes a vortec out of a c1500 SFI POS! going back with a carbed intake and TBI wiith a 5spd tranny

into a 91 b2600 I have toyota axles installed in it now and I have my 97 camaro I wrecked so im going to take that engine and throw in some other chevy running gear and see what I come up with
