new 2014 REAPER pick-up truck for off-roaders. Chevy's answer to the Ford raptor. Available in March.



The Chevy Silverado Reaper will be available in the US from March 2014. The entire front end has been restyled to make one seriously angry looking pickup. As with the Blue oval truck, the Reaper features Fox Racing remote-reservoir suspension with three inches of lift over the factory vehicle. Not just a bolt-on kit either; LFE-SCA claim that the shocks have been specifically tuned for the Reaper, providing 9.2 inches of travel in the front and 11.2 in the rear; fender flares make sure the Reaper can contain all that rampant wheel travel. Wheel options include 17-inch beadlocks (as pictured) shod with General Grabber rubber, unlike the BFGs the Raptor uses.
Other body enhancements include a new front bumper with a beefy extra inches of ground clearance (with frame-mounted skid plate), tougher side steps for bouncing off rocks and a Rigid Industries full LED lighting system – six in total. For power, the Reaper turns to Chevy’s new 6.2-litre EcoTec3 420bhp V8, boosted to a meaty 550bhp courtesy of an optional TVS1900 supercharger tuned by Lingenfelter. Does it rumble? With a Corsa exhaust out the back, you bet it does.
