Default B2600 dowel engine to transmission

I am in need of at least one dowel to line up the engine and transmission or if the size is known that would help. This is for a 1987 B2600 Mazda 4X4 pickup, Motor is overhauled and is waiting to be put back in the truck.

And that is a Mitsubishi engine in that year.

Won't the transmission shaft and the mounting bolts be sufficient?

Dowels are super important. Bellhousing bolts alone will not suffice.

I made the simple mistake of not swapping dowels over when replacing a BT-50 3.2 diesel engine.
Within a couple of thousand kms, the transmission & torque convertor shat themselves. Retail repair cost of $6000 & a written warning to me

Wow. I'm an old air-cooled VW guy, and those engines/transmissions do not use dowels for mounting.

That was the first place I asked and no they said they could not order them. I found some on the Grainger site, but not sure about size.

Did you try a Mitsubishi dealership, inquire for the same engine? There must be listings somewhere which detail which Mitsubishi vehicles use that same engine.

I'd also guess that a machine shop could make such dowels.

Could always check with the wreckers.
