Default B2500 Won't start

Today I replaced the clutch master and slave cylinder on my 2000 Mazda Bravo B2500. I also replaced the glow plugs and changed the oil/filter.
When I went to start the car afterwards it tries to crank but cant seem to turn the engine over. Happens in neutral so I don't think it is related to the clutch.
It was running fine this morning.
Battery is fine. Reading 12.6 volts.
Any ideas on what I have done wrong?
Cheers,
Mitch.

The safety switch for the engine cranking is on the clutch pedal mechanism, not related to the clutch master cylinder itself. If it fails to crank/spin the engine, maybe that safety switch/wiring was disrupted.

Pretty sure it doesn't have a clutch safety switch. Used to start fine in neutral without using the clutch.

My 1988 B2200 has a clutch safety switch, but perhaps that's just a USA thing. It's actually one thing I think that was good of government-mandated stuff (with hard-to-remove harnesses/connectors). My 1970 and 1971 VWs of course have no such clutch safety switches.
