My 1992 b-2200 has a loose or wobbly door pin. When I poke my finger at it it is very loose. My passenger doors pin is nice and firm and does not flop around. Anyways there is a chattering sound from this loose pin and it is driving me bonkers!

What can I do to tighten it? Any suggestions would be awesome!

 

Pin is worn out. I'd suggest a machine shop to fabricate a new one.

 

A parts store might have generic door pins available. A junkyard could be a good source. Take a passenger door's pin, they are used less.

 

I have never actually taken off a door or the pin out. What are some simple steps? It honestly looks like I can push it up and it will pop right out? I am trying to find videos on the web but they are seldom with Mazda b2200

 

The Mazda B series is the same as the Ford Ranger series. The hinges are hinges unless you have a Lamborghini, then they are works of art.

 

So I managed to put a new pin in well now I discovered it was the latch that is making noise. There is some play in between. It's hard to explain, but I guess I need a new latch?

 

....or you might try adjusting the latch or the catch. At least one of these is mounted using long holes. That allows you to position them to meet each other correctly.
