Default Airbag Indicator light

I have a 2000 Mazda B2500 pickup (Ford Ranger) LOL. When I start the truck, the airbag indicator on the dash flashes and then stays lit. Also, the light that says "off" on the passenger side airbag is not lit... ideas???

Have you found any solutions yet? I am having the same prob. with my 98 B3000. The light flashes twice, pauses then seven times and stays on steady. Also my passenger light is not working at all.

I would appreciate any help
Thanks,
StevenJ

This was happening in my 02 Tribute; turns out disconnecting that disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring under each front seat fixed the problem. Over time the connection becomes weak and unplugging and replugging the connectors under the seats fixes the airbag light.

Default Battery Terminals

I had the light coming on most of the time for about a week. I tried messing with the wires under the seats, and that didn't help. It turned out to be that the module wasn't getting proper voltage. I took off the battery connections and cleaned them a little, then screwed them back on good and tight, and everything works fine now. It could be as simple as adding water to the battery. I'd start there.
