I have an 87 Mazda 2.0 that the motor went out on. I have found an 86 2.2 at my local pick and pull, will it bolt in without problems?

 

I've never heard of an 86 2.2.

But generally, yes, the 2.0 and 2.2 motors are interchangeable.

 

If it was indeed a 1986 model truck, someone may have swapped in a 2.2 engine, which came in the 1987 to 1993 trucks, and then changed the fender badges to the B2200 ones, after swapping in a larger engine. The fender badges for the B2000 and the B2200 attach the same way.
