Trying to swap a 84 2.0 engine into a 86 2.2 5spd pick-up. Having some issues That I was hoping to find some help and answers here. Helping a friend out, resources and funds are limited. Very.

Are the wiring harnesses (sp?) interchangable? Will the sensors on the motors interchange? It appears the 86 innerfender harness has 1 more sensor than the 84 truck had.

Which starter should I use? the 86 or 84? or are they even compatible? The 84 starter just spins without engaging the flywheel.
