1992 B2200 center bearing replacement
Replaced all U-Joints in the driveshaft today as well as center carrier bearing. All went well except the center carrier bearing does not spin freely. Some resistance seems to be coming from the rubber housing surrounding the bearing itself. Took about a five test mile drive and all was smooth and quiet but the bearing and surrounding area of the drive was very warm/hot to the touch after completing the drive. Will this "break in" and run cooler?

That bearing should spin freely both before installed and after installed. A five mile drive shouldn't develop a great amount of heat. It's just a carrier bearing so there should not be any real friction on it. Something isn't right in my opinion.
