Seatbelt Light
I recently acquired a '92 323 and on the ride home noticed the seatbelt light comes on intermittently. I had my waist belt buckled and also buckeled the passenger seat waist belt. The light still comes on beeps. Then it turns off. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?

RE: Seatbelt Light
Light and chime coming on due to worn out switches in the shoulder belt retractor between the seats. The switches are available from Mazda. I can dig up the part number for them if you want. Otherwise you can disable them quite easily.
Take the center console out from between the seats and you will find a four wire connector on top of the retractor assembly. Disconnect and install two short jumper wires. One jumper between Pink wire and one of the Black wires. Other jumper between Orange wire w/ Green stripe and remaining Black wire.
