Rad problems HELP!
Hey last night i was stuck in traffik with my 93 mazda 626 4 cyl and the engine check light came on.... I soon relized that my engine had just slitly over heated and that my rad fluid was boiling... I have 2 rad fans and two rads due to the fact that i have a/c i belive but niether of the fans where turning... The one on the right when faceing the car seems to be dismounted... Do you think if i just change the fan i should soulve my problems ?? and should i also change my rad fluid because it boiled ?? Thxs Dave
You first need to verify that the fan has power going to it when it gets hot. It is possible to have something like a blown fuse, or relay problem, or a temp sensor problem. The best way to do to find if the fan motor is okay is to run jumper wires directly from the battery to test. There is no need to replace the coolant after it overheats.
