Wink Quick opinion on Mazda 626 aluminum wheels...

I have a chance to buy 4 factory wheels with decent tires for $100.00.
It seems to me that's a good deal...And I can get rid of those hubcaps now ..

What do Y'all think ?

Getting rid of hubcap or wheel covers is a good thing, imo, however personally, I was never too crazy about the factory mags of that era either... in appearance I mean.
Also, chances are good that they will not save you any unsprung weight, if that's a concern of yours.
Ask yourself (or do some corresponding research):
1) Are they the correct size or acceptably over-sized size (Plus zero, plus 1, plus 2) and bolt pattern?
2) Do they have an acceptable off-set and backspace?
3) Are they wider than the wheels I have now and how is that liable to affect fitment and speedometer error?
4) Are they in good shape (round, not bent, no excessive road/curb rash, etc?)

Otherwise, $100 sounds pretty damned good to me!!

The wheels are the factory aluminum wheels that come on a 1998--->2002 626.
I like the stock appearance. And they have 4 almost new Firestone FireHawk GT
tires on them. Even at TireRack the tires were $70.00 apiece, so this looks like a
great deal.....

Thoughts ?

If you need tires, pick them up.

Are you located where it snows? You may want to put snow tires on your wheels with the hubcaps.

Then Go For It, Man!!!

Yeah. In short, $100 is a good deal. I've paid that for junkyard steelies w/decent rubber before.
'Can't go wrong for $25/apiece.
