Default Ok still got a problem, HELP~!

Ok I have replaced the wheel cly. both of them on the rear. I have gotten the rear drums and rotors turned. I have bled the rear break lines.

but now I still kind of get a shuddering in the front end. It was slight at first but now when I stop and kind of coast forward and only pushing the break pedal just a little bit I get some kind of nocking. Like a pop, car goes a little more forward pop. I don't understand it? this only happens when I am applying the breaks. There is a noticiable diffrence now that the front rotors are turned but it seems that the problem is going to come back.

I don't know what I did wrong. I mean I didn't think I needed to bleed the front. I mean this doesn't sound like that is the cause.

I really need help. I mean the nosie is kind of coming from the right side I think. Could this be my control arm brushing up against my rotor? or something like that?

I don't now what to do.

I need help befor this gets any worse.

I would check the inner and outer tie rod ends on both sides. It can also have some slop in the rack and pinion steering gear. Best way to do this is to jack up the car one side at a time, make sure the tire on the opposite side is still on the ground. This way there is still pressure on the other side while checking for wear in parts. While one side is up, grab the tire with both hands at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions to rock back and forth lightly and feel for wear in the tie rods. Tie rods connect the wheel to the steering. Now grab the tire at 12 and 6 o'clock position to check ball joint and bushing wear. Next, let that side down and check the other side the same way. You cannot check properly if both front wheels are up at the same time.

Ok I will try this. but what am I looking for some movement?

Or looking for some where on the joints?

Well it seems to be some rubbing on the bottem link that connects right to the wheel. Not sure what its called I need to look it up.

Can any one give me an under side pic? Can I ajust these links? or do I just need to take it in?

I really don't know what to do.

Does the knock noise you hear just happen once or twice or does it continue to knock with light braking all the way to a stop?
Reason I ask is that I remember the older Protege's making a steady knock noise from the front brakes when braking lightly that was due to worn caliper slide pins. Will have to dig up the old TSB and see what that applied to and if parts are some on your 323.

Its only once or twice pretty much right after I have almost stoped.

You know when you slow down and just kind of coast to the line and your just bearly holding the break pedal? its right when I am coasting. And this is only when I feel it. And it only happens a few times one or twice. My be three times but thats it. And its not to bad.

I can just really hear/feel it coming from the right front side.

Here are a few pictures of the slide pins and the modified one that is available. They are kind of pricey at $66.10 for the modified one but also includes the rubber seal boots. If that is the problem then just replacing with original style always worked just fine. You might even try pulling the slide pins out and flipping them over and reinstalling. That should move the worn area to a different spot and hopefully eliminate the noise. The bulletin did not apply to the 323 but the caliper, slide pins, etc are all the same part number.
