I changed the oil in my 2002 626 on Sunday and to my surprise there was no oil in the filter, zippo, nada, dry. It still looked brand new as if right from the box.

My wife has driven about 4000 miles since last oil change. I can't believe the pump isn't working or the engine would have already seized up.

What could be going on here? I double checked the Filter and it is the correct one... I used a Purolator L14612. I got it from the book at the auto parts store and double checked online yesterday.

Any suggestions?
