Hi,

I have a Mazda 626 2000, V6. I have the check engine light on and wanna check the trouble code. However, I'm unable to locate the OBDII connection location in my car.
Can someone please:
1) tell me where the OBD2 connection is located for the 626 Mazda's?
2) briefly mention how to work on this OBD2 scanner? I'm unable to find any useful information on the web :s

hi, there hajjat. i have a 1997 mazda 626 V6. my obdII plug (aldl connector) is under the driver side dash, at the bottom, to the right. (if you're sitting in the car, it would be near your right knee) you have to have a scan tool to retrieve the codes. there are so many scan tools out there it depends on which one you get. they usually come with an instruction book with all the generic obdII codes. i bought one off ebay for around $35. hope this helps

Mine is using a USB connection to the computer, are you aware of any free software I can use?
