Hi all,

I decided to buy a Mazda Premacy Sport 2.0 last week, and must say me and the family love the car so far.

On a side note, the EML popped on and the OBD reader showed,

P0500, Vehicle Speed Sensor A.

Speedo has stopped working and the trip meter, and mileage haven't changed,
I was told when I purchased the car that the clutch had just been done.
So i'm guessing either the sensor was damaged on re-fit, or hasn't been fitted correctly.

Does anyone know where about's sensor A is located? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys.

The VSS is on the transmission housing above where the4 passenger side axle goes into the trans housing. It is hard to see so likely was left disconnected. It is not uncommon for it to go bad either. Check the wiring in the connector too as the wires could be broken.

Just want to say thank you again,
Managed to get out this morning and find the Sensor, had it all taken apart and back together within 10 mins, the sensor wasn't connected.
