Hello i have mazda 626GD LX 2.2 1992 for American market.I'm having problem with idle for a year and don't know how to tune it. I replaced maf and idle air control (IAC)I tried to tune it with disconnecting the shorting bar and put it in diagnostic mode.Idle is around 750-800rpm's but the needle on the dashboard is dancing still.Sometimes i can't start the engine from the first hit..it fires from the second or the third time. I feel that the car miss some air when i drive it.I heard a story that old mazdas from this age needs only computer or old original diagnostic tool to tune it. Is that true or you can tune it manually? The car is giving me error code number 34 that stands for idle speed control valve (ISC) - open or short circuit A or ISCV circuit. So can somebody explain is this true or false? There's also story with the idle air control (IAC) that you need to tune it with the main screw who is inside of him and to fully screw it to the end and unscrew it for 2 and a half circles back to be in the proper position that the idle's proprerly working and the needle on the dashboard is not dancing and shaking . I also having doubts on my map sensor (absolute pressure sensor)There's a number on it - E1911But i don't know exactly what is he doing in operation with IAC and whole carburetor head,i don't know if he's electronically operated with the ECU or manually.
There's also a vacuum switch connector, but i don't know wich one is the main of the two of them.
