intermittant remote key fob operation
hi
mazda 626 1998, uk.
My remote control key fob that operates the central locking has 2 buttons on it. One for opening and one for locking. It works 3% of the time.
Have replaced the battery, but still the same.
Have bent up the bottom battery (i think that the negative contact) contact, and now unlocking operation seems to work 40% of the time, but the locking button about 10% of the time.
Have you got a photo of the contacts that I should be tightening?
Anyone managed to solve this successfully.
Thanks

Before you buy, make sure the numbers on the back of yours are the same as the new one.
In the US we have FCC numbers, and if they are not the same on the new one as the old, you would not be able to program the new one to work properly.
