Default IDLE PROBLEMS 88 929\

I've had this mazda for 2 years..but just got it back after loaning it out. My uncle was using it and blew the radiator. I replaced that and tuned it up.....changed oil and plugs...and it ran pretty well when I fired it up. I went to drive it home and it started doing a couple things. It started idling up and down at stand still.... from 500-1500 almost stalling out and the car would shake while sitting still. then when i accelerate it would lack power...and get poor gas mileage. I did spray some starter fluid up into the air intake and it would start to idle perfectly. Also, the check engine light blinks on and off while driving ..when it does the car would jerk. the car idles fine when it's cold but acts up when its warm. anyone have any suggestions?

I would definetly get the engine computer read for codes since you said the check engine light is on. This will help isolate the problem.. I would think it sounds like a idle speed control solenoid or egr valve problem.
