The glowplug light operates fine at startup.Then after a few minutesdriving it starts to flash, but only after the brake pedal is pushed.Continues to flash until engine turned off .Then when starting again operates normally until brake pedal is pushed again.Any ideas?

 

Hmm, never seen one but lets see if we can get through this logically. Does it flash repeatedly with no pause? Have you checked all the connections? All the circuit does is power the glowplugs to preheat the cylinders to cold start. So does it run rough on cold start? If so it could have a bad glowplug and be sensing a resistance change in the circuit. I would start by checking each connection/grounds etc under the hood myself. The fact that it comes on when you hit the brake pedal would lead me to check the brake fluid level and all tail light bulbs etc. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram on it. An easy way to check glowplugs is by removing them and connecting them to a 12 volt source. If they glow red then they are good. If not then they are bad. They should get red hot.

 

I have checked all the glow plugs and they glow red when powered.I have ruled out the braking issue as I have noticedthe light flashes whether I press the pedal or not. I havedone a diagnostic check with a jumper clip.There is a code or codes stored but I am not sure if I have done the test correctly or what the codes mean or how to read the codes properly. Thanks for your advice.

 

I'm sorry but i have no info on that car and have no experience with them. You may have to hit a dealer for diagnostics. Once you know what the problem is you could most likely do the repairs yourself. Diagnostics should not be more than 60 to 75 dollars i would think. If that. If you have an autozone nearby they may be able to retrieve codes free.
