Default GASKETS, Got leak need HELP!!

Well looks like I have a small leak coming from my oil pan gasket.

Need to know how to replace this and any other seals I need to check when going about this.

I don't want to get underthere and star draining the oil and just try to pry the oil pan off untill I know I am not going to break something importand like my oil pump or bend my oil pan.

I know I can get the gasket and sealant for cheap.

But I need to know while doing this want else should I be checking? Are there any other gaskets or seal that I should just replace while I am doing this???

I need to know soon so I don't end up getting a bigger leak.

I want to get this fixed ASPA!

the best thing is to read and understand the manual first. The oil pan gasket is easy but messy. There is no other associated gaskets when doing it. Just be prepared to get sloppy.

that much sealant? or just all that extra oil that is still all over the pan?

don't know what you mean by "that much sealant? "

it gets messy because after the pan is removed the oil drips off the bottom of the engine from the oil pick up tube and crankshaft for example. just be prepared to wear some oil.

on my 87 323 i had to remove the exhaust down pipe to remove the oil pan since it is right under it. it connected to the exhaust manifold and went to the front of the catalytic converter.

any brands when it comes to the new gaskets?

it was easy to remove the down pipe. make sure to soak the bolts first for at least a half an hour so they don't break. use something like liquid wrench for that.

for the gaskets i have always had good luck with fel pro.
