Default fan blower motor

Hello,

I have a few questions:

1. Where is the fan blower motor in the 1990 626LX

2. Is it a do it yourself replacement job?

3. Where can I get one for a good price?

Thanks in advance.

1. Blower motor is under the glovebox
2. Yes, you can three mounting screws & trim cover.
3. Aftermarket, but you usually have to cut the wire harness & exchange the blower fan. Wiring, stripped both wire end about 1/4"
the motor comes with connectors, only have to get the right turning direction. Blower fan, patience & two flat screwdrivers, pry
up on opposite sides.

Default RE: fan blower motor (one more tip)

Just thought I'd add to the good info gtxtreme has already given: make sure that the motor is actually what's bad before buying a new one.

If the fan operates on certain speeds but not others, you're probably looking at a bad blower motor resistor assembly (mounts in the same box as the blower motor) and not the actual motor. Even if it doesn't operate on any speed, its still a good idea to check that resistor first.
