929 ignition screwdrivered how to replace?
Hi all new to the site here.
The other day my brothers 1987 929 got broken into and the ingnition lock, where the key goes was screwdrivered. I got all the surrounding plastic off but for the life of me i cant find how to get the ignition lock out. There is no screws anywhere related to it. The only thing that i can see is that there is a two small holes one on either size of the lock about the size of pin heads that look like they are part of the process of getting off the lock. Any help would be aprreciated?
Cheers chartoo

You need to take the entire lock assembly off of the column. Remove the two breakaway bolt that hold the lock onto column. Took a pic of one and highlited with the red. Kind of blurry but you get the point. Need to either use a sharp chisel and hammer to back out counterclockwise or have used a dremmel to cut a big enough slot for a flat screwdriver.

you must replace the whole key-ignition housing; where it loops around the steering column, you will see two screws; use a chisel & hammer to knock a slit in them that will allow you to use a flat-head screw-driver in backing them out.
I had to do this with my 1990 929... its the same.
