Default 91 626 A/C Problem

My father-in-law has a 91 626 LX. Well the A/C messed up(blows but does not get cold) so I tried re-charging it. The guage said that the A/C was at about 70 PSI, which I know is way too much. I drained it all out and re-filled it. Still didn't get cool... asked a mechanic and they said that he Dryer Filter was the problem. So I got one from Advance and now I can't find where the stock dryer is... Thats all I need to know is the location, the install is not a problem. Any help is VERY much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if you checked to see what your high side reading is, but with a low side reading like that I would think the expansion valve has malfunctioned. You would most likely find a too low high side. I have never seen the receiver drier cause the A/C not too cool on anything I've ever worked on. To find the drier, just follow the high side lines, usually around the condenser or behind the drivers headlamp area.
