Hello all... I have a 91 323 1.6lt w/ 125K miles. Today after driving about 3 miles, the transmission stopped working. The RPMS went up almost like it was in neutral, and it wouldn't move at all no matter what gear I selected. Up to this point it was working fine. Fluid level is good and doesn't smell.

Does this sound like it would be the torque converter (can they go bad?), internal parts, or some kind of module.

From what I have read online, I think this is a F-4EAT transmission, but could be wrong. If I have to replace the whole tranny, what other vehicles are interchangeable with this one?
