Default 89 323 automatic, shudders as it shifts

I've been under the car and I know the cv boots are on their way out, and one of them is torn open... could that possibly have something to do with this? As I accelerate, it seems as if the engine revs a little too high, before it drops into the next gear, causing the car to pulse or shudder. This happens at all temperatures, although when it's cold out, The first few shifts take forever. If I physically limit my revs with the pedal, it shifts smoother. Also the OD wasn't working, but I tightnened the bolts on my oil pan, and it seems to have fixed this(they were finger-tight, and the pan was leaking)

So my speculations are the cv joint is causing some slack in the driveline, the transmission module is crapped out, or the leak has caused a pressuer/fluid loss, and possible damage on the tranny parts? Ideas anyone? I'm about a month away from a 3000km road trip and it would suck to have it go.

I had problems with the cv boots and cv axle andwe got it repaired immediatly. It was so bad that I coulndt accelerate anymore and had a loud scary knocking/shuddering sound/vibration coming from the front wheels under load. I wouldn't go on a 3000km road trip with blown cv boots.
